Slido FAQ

Why does an organizer need to invite participants first, before being able to add Slido app as a tab?

You only have to invite someone if the meeting’s been scheduled using Teams Calendar. When scheduling it using Outlook Calendar, you actually don’t have to invite anyone.

Is Teams extensibility (apps) going to be supported in Teams Live Events and other types of meetings?

Yes, meeting organizers will be able to add Slido in an ad-hoc (chat) meeting, channel meeting as well as Live events (the webinar product).

I have Guests helping me with the event. Can they administer Slido directly from Teams?

If you’ve invited Guests to help you with administering the event, they can only do so via www.slido.com and not via Teams. Only the Teams host can administer the event directly from the app.

If I invite someone from an external organization to a Teams Meeting, can they see Slido as well?
At the moment, only members and guests in your organization have access to apps such as Slido in Teams. Federated, external or anonymous users don’t have such access. This is subject to change on Teams’s side.

Can I add Slido to a channel meeting?
At the moment, channel meetings don’t support apps like Slido. A channel meeting is also understood as inviting a whole channel to your scheduled meeting.
