Teams - How to Drive a PowerPoint Presentation

First you need to have your display settings like this for these instructions to work:

On laptop, go to Start menu, Settings wheel, System, Display to arrange per above.

Open PPT on Screen 3/right.

Hit F5/Slide Show mode to show full screen on Screen 2/left. The presentation will also appear automatically on your laptop in Slide View.

Share “PowerPoint Slide Show” by hitting Share Screen in Teams window, accessible via the Teams icon on Screen 3’s taskbar (which in the example below is showing my calendar) and choose POWERPOINT Presentation – NOT Screen 2 and NOT the one with the presentation name (or they will see part of your desktop during the switch).

To stop sharing while people discuss a topic, mouse over to the Teams icon on Screen 3’s taskbar and choose the Teams picture WITH THE MEETING NAMENOT the one with just the organizer’s picture and Teams Toolbar, then go to upper right corner and hit Stop Sharing.
